Brad, these are great topics for exploration! Solving a problem is also a good one that lead to many post ideas. You have just helped me with my own 2010 Editorial calendar – thanks!
Karen, Glad the post helped. Solving a problem – that’s a good one! Great addition to any editorial calendar. (I guess I need to update mine.
)
Wow! That is already a lot of great topics to partially fill up a whole year of editorial work.
A topic idea I’d add is “Share an Experience”. This might be attending an insightful ocnference or seminar, and giving a synopsis of what was covered/new learning. Or sharing an encounter with a customer/supplier/competitor/random 3rd party that inspired a relevent observation.
Another one would be “Extend an existing idea”. This could be to expand on somthing covered in another person’s blog, or take it in a new direction. Or it could be to revisit a previous topic of yoiur own, and expand or revise as appropriate.
Great list by the way. Am planning to launch a b2b blog my self, and several of your posts have been very helpful.
Lance, Your additions are marvelous – one of the nice things about a b2b blog, as I’m sure you’ll see, is that the community discussion itself expands an idea as we’re doing here. Thanks for visiting, commenting, and good luck with your blog.
Elmot, Sounds like your calendering work is over!
