Thank You, Word Sell Commenters

We’ve had lots of lively conversation around here lately, so I want to extend a big thank you to everyone who’s jumped in. I sure appreciate your taking time to visit and share your wisdom!

NOTE TO READERS - Sorry if you tried to visit earlier today - my server was down. The problem was too much traffic … a good problem to have! Thank you for exceeding my bandwith. My account has been upgraded so everything should be O.K.

Before I get into the list, a few updates. Deb at Punctuality Rules! has taken her blog up a notch in recent weeks. She writes great stuff about grammar and punctuation. If you haven’t checked out Andrew’s blog, Good Honest Dollar $$, you should check it out. Andrew writes about issues relating to corporate ethics that are timely and relevant. Brad, I’m glad we’re forcing you to get more bandwidth!

I was thinking about your commenters the other day, and that you have a high proportion of UK and continental European commenters. Has that ever struck you?

I’m wondering if it’s because of your dry sense of humour. You’re less in your face American than some folk. Which is meant as a compliment!

Hi Brad - I thought it must have been extra traffic that caused your blog to crash. I already know the others but I’ll be checking out Deb’s blog.

I don’t know what is happening with Lillie’s blog but when I got to it in my reader, the heading just says blog and there’s no writing.

I failed to congratulate you on the server crash—well, not actually on the crash, but on having so much traffic!

Cath,
My blog is fine as far as I can tell. I was playing around earlier today trying to get a full feed instead of an excerpt. I may have messed up the feed temporarily—if that’s the case, it was only for a few minutes. Hopefully, your reader checked at just the wrong time. If anyone else has a problem, let me know and I’ll check further.

Lillie, hope day one of the tour went swimmingly!

Joanna, Yes, I have noticed a strong UK contingent here, but not sure exactly why. Your literature, culture, and history have always fascinated me, and the bloggers I know from the UK are wonderful all the way around. Here in the American Midwest, I think you’d find most of us are pretty low key. That said, my favorite humorist of all time is John Cleese.

Cath, I guess today was your day to troubleshoot the blogosphere! Thanks again.

I come here and comment because I love talking with you and the neighbors..and yes it does feel like a wonderful little neighborhood in this big gigantic net world. Thanks for the link! Yep, I enjoy coming here, and your list is a starting point to systematically (more or less) visit the others too!
Karen: What shirt? Have I missed something? A Word Sell T-Shirt? I’d like to have one (together with an MZM T-Shirt and a JJL one). Sorry for kidding around, but I like the idea of us sitting at the computer with our crowd t-shirts on!
