Hi McCabe, Hope you find these other books just as good as Weber's. Funny you mention the Google book. I just heard about it the other day and plan to read it eventually. Thanks for stopping by Word Sell.

Hi Cath, You had the same reaction to Art of the Start - the venture cap stuff is mighty interesting, though. I wonder if some of those techniques can work for any business.

Hi Brad - I've only read 2 of these, so I'll need to check out some more. Meatball Sundae was one of my favourite books this year - it's essential reading for folk who want to bring an offline business online.

Art of the Start is great. The only bits I found irrelevant to me, was the stuff about pitching to Venture Capitalists - but you never know, one day I might need that.

Hi srivikas, This list is limited to books I read in 2008. But you are 100% correct - "New Rules" is a superb book, one of my all time favorites. (I've written about it several times here.)

After reading The Expert's Edge, I now know the holes I need to fill in getting my book written for the audience I believe could benefit the most.
It was hard for me to figure a way to get my customers coming back for more. Ken Lizotte shows you how. It essentially outlines a road map for successfully navigating your way from professional with pearls of wisdom to savvy expert / thought leader .

Joanna, I would love to get your take on Meatball Sundae. Enjoy them both ... when you have time. If you're like me, you have 10 books or so in queue.
