“Think and Grow Rich” - A Book You Should Read

Just wanted to say thanks to Chris Winfield for recommending “Think and Grow Rich!” for Word Sell’s Favorite Book project. I just finished it - fantastic! A must read for anyone looking to improve professionally or personally - pretty much everyone, I suspect! Even though the book was written in 1937, you’d think it was written yesterday considering how on target it is.

Here again is the current Word Sell list of favorite books.

  1. My pleasure Brad - it’s a classic. So glad you enjoyed it…

  2. Thanks for another mention, Brad! The two books I recommended are great! Hope someone will read them. (Though I see a number of other great ones on the list, as well!)

Hi Jeanne, I’d like to read your selections, but as I recall one or both of them are out of print. Gotta find a deal!

  4. Wow, Brad, you’re right! Tested Sentences that Sell is out of print. I guess I’d forgotten. I can only say to keep your eye out at your local used bookstore, because it’s a great book!

Lions Don’t Need to Roar is still available, though. Check Amazon.com.

  5. Bob Ravasio says:

    Brad,

Just picked it up myself and started it two weeks ago - didn’t realize you were reading it also. Great book!

  6. Brad Shorr says:

That’s quite a coincidence Bob! Can’t wait to discuss it with you.

  7. Mihaela Lica says:

The list is growing, Brad and the titles are indeed very good. With such a list (and a poll) you could even learn which are the “most wanted” titles to promote with your Amazon affiliate program (if you have one). LOL.

I just finished reading Laura’s recommendation and I can only recommend it again! A great learning tool, indeed.

  8. Brad Shorr says:

Hi Mihaela, thanks for visiting. Laura’s book is definitely on my list - there’s just not enough time to read.

  9. Laura says:

It’s good to see this project is still going on.

I wonder if the library would have some of the out-of-print books?

  10. Brad Shorr says:

Laura, that’s a good idea. “Tested Sentences that Sell” is the tough one. I checked on Alibris and the least expensive copy is about $70.

  11. Hi, Brad and Laura!

I noticed that Amazon.com has a CD-ROM version of “Tested Sentences that Sell”–which also includes 6 other marketing classics as a bonus–for $37. That’s the best deal I’ve seen, so far. (Don’t know what books the others are, though.)

  12. Brad Shorr says:

Another option - thanks, Jeanne. Maybe someone should reprint this book!
