Which Single Word Defines Your Business?

What is your company all about? Where does it all start? Can you boil down what you do to one word?
For me, the one word is “connecting”. Connecting ideas, connecting words, connecting people.
If you had to describe your business to a potential customer in one word, what would it be?

Wish I hadn’t taught you all I knew about questions Brad. This one is really making my brain hurt… which is a sure sign it’s a good one!
Joanna
Joanna, only too happy to return the favor.
Great question Brad and a great answer. Connecting is certainly something that resonates with me.
If limited to only one word, I’d say people. If I could have another one, I’d say potential…. so developing and supporting people potential and business potential.
Ah, now here is an easy question for me! The word is a Hawaiian one: Ho‘ohana. I am lucky in this respect because it does beg translation I suppose; since most people have never heard of it, and most do love the romantic notions they have of Hawai‘i’s mystique, they ask me to explain, and I joyfully do! In most instances it does take several English words to explain only one Hawaiian. One’s Ho‘ohana is their purpose and passion for intentional work, and my Ho‘ohana is to reinvent our workplaces via value-alignment, bringing honor, dignity and aloha back to the world of work.
I hope more chime in with their answers for you Brad, for this is such a great question!
And Brad, you are a very good connector, both in the giving and the receiving —two different processes at times with which connectors must excel, and you do!
Yvonne, Potential is a wonderful word for you. I hope you can find a good way to apply it to your marketing.
Rosa, Too bad we don’t have a word for Ho’ohana. It’s beautiful, and fits you perfectly. Purpose and passion are definitely two words I would use to describe your writing. Thank you for your kind words as well.
