Yes, normally reduced to “mobile”. Of course we all watch so much American TV that cellphone is readily understood, but I don’t think people use it. (Although it could be a generational thing, with me hopelessly showing my age)

isn’t it funny that we Germans know both cell phone and mobile - calling the thing “handy” in German? I do have one with a prepaid card in it. I don’t know how much it would be to make a call across the deep water, but I am afraid that it would kill my ummmm card.

“Cell”phones? It reminds me of people being in jail walking around with it stuck to their ears as if life depeneded on it to hang there…….STOP TALKING NONESENSE and get to serious work. Get out of “jail” FREE…just stop talking and do something!
