Make Merry!
Being obsessed with words, I couldn’t help but quote this excerpt from the Free Dictionary’s definition of merry. Isn’t this a word we want to enjoy in all of its richness?
Adj. 1. merry – full of or showing high-spirited merriment; “when hearts were young and gay”; “a poet could not but be gay, in such a jocund company”- Wordsworth; “the jolly crowd at the reunion”; “jolly old Saint Nick”; “a jovial old gentleman”; “have a merry Christmas”; “peals of merry laughter”; “a mirthful laugh”
jocund, jolly, jovial, mirthful, gay
joyous – full of or characterized by joy; “felt a joyous abandon”; “joyous laughter”
Let us all feel a joyous abandon in the weeks ahead and throughout 2010!

Jacqui, it was my pleasure to share your brilliance with my readers. I am happy that we connected on Twitter too and look forward to more great conversations in 2010! Happy New Year and wishing you a dream year!
