Luke Gedeon asks us to write on the theme, Seven Things I am Thankful For. What a wonderful concept! Please do join in.
Family and Friends. Thank you for putting up with me. Thank you for being there. Thank you for sharing your joy and your sorrow.
Clients. Thank you for the opportunity to serve and to be part of your success.
Business Partners. Thank you for your help, your patience, your brilliance.
Our servicemen and servicewomen. Thank you for protecting us and for the incredible sacrifices you make in the name of freedom.
Fellow bloggers. Thank you for enriching my soul in the sharing of your ideas, opinions, wit, wisdom, passions, pastimes, rants, ramblings, nightmares, and dreams.
A sense of humor. It comes in handy these days, as we teeter on the brink of disaster.
God. Thank you for giving me steadfast hope and these other six things to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Brad,
With all of the negativity going on in today’s world, it’s truly a pleasure to see people like you taking a step back and taking stock of your wonderful blessings in life.
Andrews last blog post..Guest post from Brad Shorr
Brad, thanks for sharing your list and for reminding us to be thankful for everything wonderful we’ve got going in our lives! Funny, Thanksgiving is the only US holiday we did not import, yet the only one I’d like to celebrate. A few times in the year if possible. Its spirit is definitely something we need

Andrew, It certainly is easy to lose perspective when the world seems to be crumbling all around. As bad as things seem today, a quick skim through any history book will show us that they could be a lot worse.
Alina, Wouldn’t it be fantastic if every country had a holiday of Thanksgiving? This year, the push for Christmas gift buying has pushed Thanksgiving almost off the map, which is sad. Karen Swim wrote about that on her blog earlier this month.
I’m curious, Alina, what U.S. holidays have you imported?
Valentine’s, which is not really US born, but it was made a star over there. And Halloween! You can not imagine how many Halloween parties are organized in Bucharest! And the number grows every year. Yet our Saint Andrew (http://wordsofabrokenmirror.blogspot.com/2006/11/night-of-all-specters.html)holiday is mostly forgotten…

Alina, Hope everybody reads your Saint Andrew post. It is fascinating!
Thanks Brad! It was a pretty big hit when I first published it two years ago
Glad it’s still appreciated.
